Atomiq is Matthew Paulus, an individual doing business as Atomiq, based in Belmont, California. This notice explains what personal information Atomiq collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
1Who this covers
- 1.1
This notice covers three situations: visiting this website, contacting Atomiq or booking a meeting, and taking part in a buyer interview that Atomiq runs on behalf of a client.
- 1.2
Client engagements are governed by the Standard Terms of Engagement and the signed proposal. Where those documents and this notice overlap, they control for the client relationship.
2This website
- 2.1
This site has no accounts, no forms, and sets no cookies of its own. Atomiq does not run analytics, advertising pixels, or session recording on it.
- 2.2
The hosting provider that serves the site keeps standard server logs, which typically include IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the time of the request. Atomiq uses those logs, if at all, only to keep the site running and secure.
- 2.3
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google receives your IP address and the request details under Google's privacy policy.
- 2.4
Links to LinkedIn, Cal.com, and other third-party sites take you to services with their own privacy practices. This notice stops at the edge of this site.
3When you contact or book with me
- 3.1
If you email Atomiq, book a meeting through Cal.com, or connect on LinkedIn, Atomiq keeps your name, contact details, and the content of the correspondence so it can reply, prepare for and follow up on the conversation, and keep a record of the relationship.
- 3.2
Booking through Cal.com is handled by Cal.com under its privacy policy. Atomiq receives the name, email address, and any notes you enter when you book.
- 3.3
Atomiq does not sell contact information and does not add you to a marketing list without asking first.
4Buyer interviews run for clients
- 4.1
Atomiq interviews buyers, customers, and prospects on behalf of its clients. If you are invited to one of those interviews, the client that commissioned the research decides why the information is collected and how it is used. Atomiq processes it on that client's instructions.
- 4.2
Interviews are recorded only with your express consent, given at the start of the call using an agreed consent script. You can decline recording and still take part, and you can stop at any point.
- 4.3
Recordings, transcripts, and notes are delivered to the client at the end of the engagement. Findings shared with the client may quote you. If you want your remarks attributed anonymously, say so during the interview and Atomiq will honor it.
- 4.4
Atomiq does not use your contact details for its own marketing, does not share them with any other client, and does not sell them.
- 4.5
Atomiq keeps its own copy of interview material for up to six months after delivery for quality assurance and to answer the client's questions about the findings, then deletes it, apart from copies in routine backups or that the law requires it to keep.
- 4.6
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, Atomiq and the client sign a data processing addendum before your interview takes place.
5Tools and vendors
- 5.1
Atomiq uses ordinary business tools to do its work: email, calendar, video calling, transcription, note-taking, document storage, and analysis software. Those vendors process information on Atomiq's behalf and under their own security commitments. Atomiq chooses vendors that do not use customer content to train their models or for their own purposes.
- 5.2
Atomiq does not share personal information with anyone else except as described in this notice, when a client instructs it to, or when the law requires it.
6How long information is kept
- 6.1
Correspondence and relationship records are kept for as long as the relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward, so Atomiq can pick the conversation back up.
- 6.2
Interview material is kept as described in Section 4.5. Client engagement records are kept for as long as Atomiq needs them for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
7Your choices
- 7.1
You can ask what information Atomiq holds about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or withdraw consent to a recording, by emailing matt@atomiqagency.com. Atomiq will answer within thirty days.
- 7.2
For interview material, Atomiq may need to pass your request to the client that commissioned the research, since the client holds the delivered recordings and transcripts. Atomiq will tell you if that is the case.
- 7.3
Atomiq does not discriminate against anyone for exercising these choices.
8Changes to this notice
- 8.1
When this notice changes, the version number and effective date at the top change with it. Material changes to how interview data is handled will be reflected in the consent script participants hear before an interview.
